Mountain Man Set

I began researching early American knives and became
interested in knives being carried by explorers. The knives
were basic, made from available materials and had to be
durable. The Mountain Man Set combines a large skinner
with a smaller utility knife in a single sheath. The steel is
1/8th or 5/32 1095 or O1 to provide the best cutting ability.
Both blades are differentially heat treated to provide optimum
blade strength and a great hamon.
The sheath is make from soft leather to wrap around your hip
for comfortable carrying. The skinner sits higher in the
sheath to make for easy access. The utility blade has a
thong attached to pull the blade from the deep recess of the
sheath. The blade sits deep in the sheath to prevent loss.
